Today’s psalm: Psalm 96:1-10


The psalmist says, “proclaim his salvation day after day. Tell his glory among the nations; among all peoples, his marvelous deeds.” (v.2b-3). This is our very mission. It is about rapid, massive and worldwide evangelization. Proclamation of the gospel day after day. To all nations, to all peoples.

This is the call to holy warriors. To be such, we must strive for holiness, for the God who sends us forth is holy. We are to “bow down to the Lord, splendid in holiness.” (v.9a). Further, we are to be equipped and empowered by God, who is all-powerful. “Splendor and power go before him; power and grandeur are in his holy place.” (v.6). Then we are to march to the ends of the earth, and “declare among the nations: The Lord is king.” (v.10a).

Advance, holy warriors! Ho-wa!
