THE SERVANT GENERAL
OUR THEME FOR 2015
VIBRANT WORSHIP - 2
Does not a prayer assembly leader, in exhorting the brethren
to worship, at times say: “We are entering into the
throne room of God”? How is it to enter into the throne
room of God? John had a vision (Rev 4:1a). “A throne
was there in heaven, and on the throne sat one whose appearance
sparkled like jasper and carnelian. Around the throne was
a halo as brilliant as an emerald. From the throne came flashes
of lightning, rumblings, and peals of thunder. Seven flaming
torches burned in front of the throne, which are the seven
spirits of God. In front of the throne was something that
resembled a sea of glass like crystal.” (Rev 4:2b-3,5-6a).
Awesome! Absolutely magnificent! Breathtaking in splendor!
happens around the throne of God? Non-stop worship (at least
by the cherubim)! “Day and night they do not stop exclaiming:
‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God almighty” (Rev
4:8b). The angels and saints worship (Rev 4:9-10). With lightning,
rumblings and thunder, no wonder the place where the disciples
prayed shook (Acts 4:31a)!
we worship, we are in the awesome presence of God. “Hallelujah!
Praise God in his holy sanctuary; give praise in the mighty
dome of heaven.” (Ps 150:1). We are in the company of
the angels and saints. So we join in on the joyful noise to
the Lord. We “give praise with blasts upon the horn”
and “with crashing cymbals” (Ps 150:3a,5a).
we worship, as we give God the praise and glory that is His
due, we are “filled with the holy Spirit,” enabling
us to continue “to speak the word of God with boldness.”
(Acts 4:31b). Then we are further empowered to witness. Worship
entering into the throne room of God is such an
awesome experience, and should be for all. So we evangelize
massively so that this can become a reality. “Let everything
that has breath give praise to the Lord! Hallelujah!”
